JR Hammer's recycling services

At JR Hammer, we offer a comprehensive range of recycling solutions and holistic approach that address the growing demand for sustainable management of electrical cables, metals, PVC/Vinyl and solar panels. Our services are designed to meet the needs of businesses, industries, and communities that prioritise environmental responsibility and resource recovery.

Cable recycling

We recycle electrical, power, telecommunication and automotive cables using mechanical separation of the metal and insulation materials. Once separated, these are reintroduced into the supply chain, reducing the need for new raw material extraction. By recycling cables, we help businesses reduce waste, save costs and minimise environmental impact.

Metal recycling

Recycling metals are essential to the circular economy. Ferrous metals (steel and iron) recycle infinitely without degradation and non-ferrous metals like copper require up to 95% less energy when recycled versus mined. With copper demand projected to grow by 50% by 2050 and renewable energy systems requiring 6-12 times more copper than fossil-fuel alternatives, recycling this vital resource is increasingly critical.

Our metal recycling process uses electromagnetic induction to safely separate ferrous metals from the rest of the cable materials. These continue through a rotating magnetic rotor to isolate the copper. This technology efficiently preserves each metal’s unique properties, clean enough to re-enter the supply chain for remanufacturing.

PVC and Vinyl recycling

Only 3-5% of Australia’s PVC gets recycled annually and it’s a gap we’re actively closing. Thanks to our R&D partnerships, we effectively dissolve the PVC and vinyl, filtering out contaminants, then precipitating high-quality virgin grade materials ready for reintegration into sustainable manufacturing processes. This represents a huge advancement in what’s been a mammoth challenge and a very significant waste issue.

As world leaders in PVC recycling, we continue to invest in improving PVC reclamation without compromising on quality, reducing both the need for new materials and the disposing of old materials, while helping businesses stay compliant with environmental regulations.

Solar panels recycling

We arrange recycling pathways for end-of-life solar panels. Our partner network can separate high-value materials from hazardous components, turning them into recovered resources. By managing this process, we help you create responsible disposal solutions for Australia’s growing renewable infrastructure.
